My name is Vanya, popularly known as "Starring Vanya", and I am an independent singer-songwriter, dancer, former Berklee College of Music alumna, podcaster, and recording and performing artist based in Mumbai, India.

I released my debut Christmas album, "A Starring Vanya Christmas" (2020), followed by my single "Dear Santa" (2021), both of which were featured on RollingStone India. My uplifting track "Enjoy the Ride" also gained traction on Yupp TV. This year, my latest holiday single, "Christmas Bright", made waves on 99 Lite FM Orlando, USA, and received extensive airplay on Red FM Shillong.

In 2023, I was recognized as one of Godrej L'affaire's Top 40 Influencers in India. I’ve performed live with my band, Starring Vanya and the Constellations, at multiple Mumbai venues and have also showcased my music internationally.

The anticipation and festive energy of the holiday season inspired me to create my new single, "Christmas Bright". I wrote and composed the track independently, collaborating with Rui Goes for production. This fast-paced, upbeat song pays tribute to the golden sounds of Elvis Presley, Chuck Berry, and Jerry Lee Lewis, legends whose music I deeply admire. A visit to the iconic Sun Studios in Memphis further fueled my desire to capture their timeless style, and "Christmas Bright" reflects this influence in a way that is uniquely my own.
